On Friday we are going on holiday to Sharm El Sheik. I have never been to Egypt before. The last two years we have been on cruises. From 'Google' it seems that this is quite a popular cruise ship destination, while I am there Rotterdam, Artania, Minerva, Costa NeoRomantica, Costa Classica and Aegean Odyssey are all planned to visit. Whether I see any of these still remains to be seen. I was on Costa Classica in the Far East in 2011 and it would be good to see her again. I often log into her webcam to see where she is even now two years later. Hopefully I will see some other ships when I am out and about - Above shows the Costa Classica in Pennang.

Was back over in Liverpool yesterday and as usual took the opportunity to drive along the docks to see what's going on. New ships seen included Bulk Carrier Maro L, Chemical / Oil Products Tanker UACC Messila with Hathor and RMS Buchholz (both General Cargo Ships) berthed against the dock wall at Bromborough. The tide was out when I was there and as a result there was no traffic on the river. It was a bit 'murky' (Is this a real word?) and cold, 1 degree above freezing according to my car. Photo is from my phone hence the quality. Sorted all the photographs I have taken last night on to one USB drive. Going to start uploading the photographs I took whilst on the Costa Classica in the Far East next. Looking back I could have taken a lot more photographs but I still got good shots of some interesting vessels, some of which have since been scrapped. |
AuthorMy interest in ships and the sea started back in 2006 when I worked for a couple of years on the banks of the River Mersey. I have since been on a couple of cruises around the Med and in the Far East and have started to take more interest in researching and photographing some of the ships and other vessels seen on my travels.
