My Grandad is 100 today, his telegram from the queen is above My Grandad was an able bodied seaman his entire life at sea, here he is with his crewmates on an unknown vessel probably in the 1930's / 1940's. For some reason he has an asterix over his head, One of his own photographs from a merchant vessel on convoy duty during World War 2. This is probably a ship from the Manchester Liner fleet.
