On one of our day trips out we visited the small port of Le Treport.
In the inner harbour was the General Cargo ship Sardius.
Sardius is owned and operated by Bock Maritime BV a relatively young company with four ships based in Alkmaar, The Netherlands.
She has a single screw propeller with controllable pitch and is powered by a
Wartsila 8L26, 4 stroke, 8 cylinder diesel engine (1800kW, 2414hp) giving a loaded service speed of 12 knots.
